Launch Public Celtic Business Development Company (BDC)

A combination of CapitalG and Alphabet, this would be my own firm which would invest in internal and external projects as well as companies that create opportunities to promote the 6 celtic languages and culture (Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, Breton, Cornish) using funds from publicly traded stock to make them accessible to retail investors.

Working at a public company (specifically the stock I received) was transformational for my personal investment journey as I set myself up with a retirement account. My goal is to find ways to support others in my companies to have the same opportunity, from full-time employees to part-time workers. It also builds more ownership in the team which is good for business.

A business development company, or BDC, is a special type of business similar to real estate investment trusts, or REITs, with requirements like distributing 90% of net earnings as dividends to investors or limiting investment to small to mid size companies.

I realize this might be a naïve goal and requires more research but this is the initial concept. I dont feel like this is outside my abilities with a ton of effort and collaboration. Plus, I already have a ticker symbol picked out 😜. There are requirements for listing on exchanges like Nasdaq such as having $80MM in market cap.
